Quick answers to common questions about launching and running VeriStay in your community.
VeriStay is a short-term rental address identification and license verification platform that identifies STR listing addresses remotely and compares them against municipal license records to help municipalities identify potentially unlicensed listings for review and enforcement.
VeriStay is built to be a lightweight alternative to larger compliance platforms and is specifically designed to assist municipalities that handle their own short-term rental registration and enforcement processes. VeriStay identifies listing addresses remotely and compares them against existing STR license records so municipalities can review potentially unlicensed listings and take enforcement action where appropriate.

VeriStay identifies likely property addresses by cross-referencing listing photos and details against publicly available sources such as satellite imagery, Street View imagery, assessor and property appraiser imagery/data, realty and property imagery, parcel data and GIS mapping, and public property records. The identification process also relies on matching unique architectural and landscaping characteristics visible across multiple sources.
Screenshots of these visual matches between the listing property and the identified address are then taken to document how and why a listing was tied to a specific address.
To identify the property addresses of short-term rental listings within your municipality, nothing is required on your end at a minimum. Even items such as municipal boundary shapefiles can be created by VeriStay on your behalf if needed.
If you would also like VeriStay to determine whether identified listings appear licensed or unlicensed, we would need access to your municipality’s short-term rental registry data. This data can be provided in formats such as CSV, Excel, or through API access.
We focus on simplicity, accountability, and resident trust—so your team can reduce workload while improving compliance outcomes.
